*Truly. Note that atheists have moral values, we just don’t have a (fictitious and completely inaccurate with a lack of evidence) book that tells us what those values are. I believe we chose them ourselves, and it is our responsibility to ourselves and each other to follow those values.

Thank you Captin Obvious for the correction. I really appreciate, that you took time to write this comment.
I believe I haven’t said that atheists do not have moral values, for I believe in quite contrary. Yet as you pointed out we differ in defining, what we believe, is the source of these values, which however influences their ultimate significance. On theistic ground moral values are something definite and unchangeable, while an atheist is chosing them himself either individually or collectively, which appears to considerably demean them.

Yet, by this I wouldn’t like to completely take away focus from the main question which was: Do you believe that Atheism is truly more rational worldview than Christianity? Why is that?

Thank you again for you post,
      All the best
      Peter

Atheists don’t believe any of that.

Hello An atheist, would you please explain a bit more about what you have on your mind, when you say “any of that”?
It seemed to me that certain marks of atheistic perception on the beginning of the Universe where captured in these popular “atheism” pictures, please show us where they are mistaken.

      Thank you
      Peter

If you wanted people to answer the question you asked (an answerless question since both of these differing ideas on how the universe was created, neither of which have or ever will be proven to be 100% fact or agreed to be 100% fact by everyone, cannot be considered rational at all) then you shouldn’t have put the three images along with it as they are biased and vitriolic, and denounce opinions that are not exclusively associated with athiests.

The first oversimplifies the big bang theory (while also implying that it is the belief of athiests not scientists, in case you were unaware athiests are defined only by their lack of religion thus the name) to the point where it can’t be taken seriously to avoid the fact that the person who wrote it knows nothing about the theory he’s denouncing due to willful ignorance.

The second implies that you are already sure of the question’s answer (making this entire thing pointless) oversimplifies the big bang theory and conflates it with being an athiest yet again and furthermore refers to christianity as the more rational theory rather than thiesm in general which carries with it the idea that one religion is somehow better than others.

And the last one is downright offensive, written by a misinformed thiest who has stooped as low as a misinformed athiest does by flat out insulting the differing opinion. How would you feel if I simply said that thiests think that no crime should be punished by humans because the guilty person will be punished when they go to hell, thus making all crime legal (which as it happens is a statement exactly as flawed as the idea that athiests think god not existing makes all crime ok) you wouldn’t be too happy about that would you. You might even be so unhappy about it that the fact the comment is years old wouldn’t deter you from responding to it, which is precisely what I’ve done here.
